Andrew has performed extensively as a solo, chamber and orchestral musician at many of London’s top venues as well as in Cambridge and the South East.  He has won prizes to perform concerti, been awarded the highest achievable grades in performance recitals as an undergraduate and been invited to feature as a soloist and principal flute by a number of ensembles.

Andrew is a versatile player, at home on the piccolo, concert flute and alto flute.  His main interest lies in contemporary playing techniques and the performance of twentieth century and contemporary music and he has built up a large repertoire of such music.

For information on the range of music played see the sample programmes and repertoire list (although this is by no means definitive), Andrew is always keen to learn new music in fresh and exciting areas!

Andrew also has a long history of singing in chamber choirs, the BBC Symphony Chorus and various solo roles (notably baritone solos in the Fauré and Duruflé Requiem).  To reflect this Andrew is currently employed by St. Giles in the Fields Church, London as the bass in a resident vocal quartet.

Andrew is also a member of a flute/voice and piano duo, The Bechstein Duo,  with pianist Rachael Bennett.  Andrew and Rachael cover a wide range of repertoire from jazz and show tunes to Bach and Harvey.  They offer competitive rates for recitals, receptions, dinners, weddings and general functions.
